General information

• Booking
Only the number of a credit card is required to secure the booking of stay. We need to have the numbers of your credit card, expiry date and the last 3 digits on the back of the card. Your card is not charged but is required to guarantee booking your stay.

• Payment method
The stay can be paid in cash or by credit card (Visa / Mastercard) at Riad Karmela. Euros and Dirhams are accepted for payment of your stay. Given the 5% commission on card payments in Morocco, it is also possible to make bank transfers in France or pounds sterling in England without bank charges.

• Transport
The airport is located 8 km from the city. It is strongly recommended, even ESSENTIAL book a driver in advance with the Riad Karmela. (15 Euros to 20 Euros 3 or 4 people from then possibility of mini bus depending on numbers) This option will ensure you not having to negotiate a taxi on arrival but especially to be deposited a 1 min walk from our Riad on Place Ben Salah. Taxis you take yourself to the airport OR EVEN WITH AN OFFICIAL local agency is high risk of been left far away from the Riad. You may end to pay 50% more and it will be very difficult and risky to find the Riad. If you need to ask a local to show you the way, it will ask you ONE EURO minute! REGULAR CUSTOMERS WHO ARRIVE BY THEIR OWN MEANS ARE VERY STRESSED when arriving!! Please let us know if you had a significant delay. Our driver will meet you inside the airport with a sign Karmela and will be settled on your bill at the Riad. Aircraft often have to delay and not to wait too long your driver thank you also to prevent the Riad. If you can, book or take a place BEFORE the aircraft as this will allow you to be head to pass through customs which can be very long if there are several planes arriving at the same time .

• Change in Morocco Can be done on site at the riad.
1 Euro = about 11 dirhams.
There are notes to Morocco from 20 to 200 dirhams and parts 0.5 to 10 dirhams.

• Taxis in Marrakech
If you do not want to use public transport (very inexpensive and fairly well served), take taxis, but require some forget that the counter even though this is less common. The prices are very low (compared to France for example). Les Petits Taxis can not leave Marrakech. At night the price is increased by 50% legally but often must negotiate the race, especially partying nightclubs. For your longer trips outside of Marrakech, you must take the Great Taxis (price negotiable).
