Ourika Valley
30 km from Marrakech, the road enters a verdant valley that stretches for 32 km while gradually gaining altitude.
You will discover picturesque Berber villages perched on the mountainside, overlooking the river.
The road ends at Setti Fatma, a charming stopover village surrounded by centuries-old walnut trees, where you can enjoy a delicious tajine after climbing one or more of the seven waterfalls. The first waterfall is a 20-minute walk along the mountain paths beside the river. The others are more difficult to access but still possible to reach.
Imlil / Mount Toubkal
About an hour from Marrakech, after crossing the Moulay Ibrahim gorges, you will discover the village of Asni, nestled among olive and almond trees.
You will then take a 17 km trail by minibus leading to Imlil, a remote village nestled at the bottom of stunning gorges, at the foot of Mount Toubkal (4,167 m), the highest peak in North Africa.
A guide will meet you and accompany you on a 1-hour-15-minute walk through the mountains. Lunch will be served at the Berber guide’s home, offering a beautiful view over the valley.
Return via the Kik Plateau, with magnificent views of the Atlas Mountains.
Transportation is charged on the riad stay invoice.
Departure from the riad reception at 9:30 am, returning around 5:00 pm.
Walking shoes are required, as the excursion includes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes of walking. A mule ride is also possible for those who have difficulty walking for an hour.
Essaouira
After a 2-hour-30-minute drive, in an exceptional setting on the Atlantic coast, on a rocky peninsula facing the waves, stands Essaouira, a fortified town whose unique architecture, blue-shuttered houses, crenellated fortifications and cannons pointing towards the ocean are sure to impress.
The city was known until the 18th century as Mogador.
After the colorful fishing boats return, you can watch the fish auction before enjoying fresh fish, squid or shellfish. A truly charming experience in this peaceful coastal city.
You will also have the opportunity to visit a women’s cooperative producing Argan oil.
Departure from the riad at 8:00 am after breakfast, returning around 7:00 pm.
Aït Ben Haddou / Ouarzazate
The Kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou, a remarkable Moroccan gem listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is located 176 km from Marrakech.
The day is full of discoveries, including crossing the Tichka Pass (2,260 m) and enjoying its spectacular landscapes.
The city of Ouarzazate is the gateway to Morocco’s southern regions. It is well known for its film studios, where many films are shot every year.
The journey takes a minimum of 3 hours.
Visit the Atlas Mountains without walking

Option 1: Transfer by minibus to the mountains, lunch at your choice, then return via the Kik Plateau and the Lake of Marrakech.
